Aileen P. Werklund is the chief client officer and director of human resources at CM Wealth, where she also serves as a partner and a key member of the firm’s five-person managing board. In her role, Aileen is a driving force behind ensuring that client families achieve not only financial security but also long-term prosperity and peace of mind. With a strategic vision that aligns client goals with comprehensive financial planning, Aileen is dedicated to crafting tailored solutions that elevate the overall well-being of clients.
Aileen joined CM Wealth in 2016 with the task of building out the team and offerings that service our families. She has grown the client service team to four members and added services such as property insurance review, bill pay services, end of life planning, budgeting advice for the next generation, and planning for college students. This is in addition to the cash flow planning, estate planning, and philanthropic services the team already provides. She cares about her clients and takes the time to listen to them and find the best solutions to their needs while providing them with options to meet their overall goals and objectives.
As a member of the managing board, Aileen is active in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, policy development, and long-term goals. Her leadership extends beyond financial strategy to cultivating an organizational culture that prioritizes teamwork, family values, and a shared vision for success. In her dual capacity as director of human resources, Aileen is a cornerstone in shaping the firm’s culture and vision, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and excellence.
Before her tenure at CM Wealth, Aileen honed her expertise at Hawthorn, a division of PNC Bank, where she advised affluent families on their estate and cash flow planning and managed the associates who worked on the team. Aileen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a certificate in HR management from Baldwin Wallace University and an MBA in finance and management from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. She earned her certified financial planner designation in 2010 and serves as an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and the Financial Planning Association of Northeast Ohio.
Aileen actively volunteers her time with various charities focused on the homeless, foster children, and cancer patients. She spends much of her free time with her husband, family and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, animals, and reading.
