Paul Bodnar is the chief executive officer, chief investment officer, and managing member at CM Wealth. Additionally, he is a member of the managing board and the chairman of CM Wealth's investment committee and public markets, private equity, and special situations sub-committees. Since joining CM Wealth, Bodnar helped lead the firm’s investment process and manage client portfolios. His main focus has been further development of CM Wealth’s private capital program and leading direct investments alongside lead sponsors.
Prior to joining CM Wealth in 2015, Bodnar was the managing partner and co-founder of Incremental Insights, a firm focused on emerging market investment research. Prior to that, he was a vice president and senior equity analyst at Longbow Research. He was named to The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" Analysts in 2011 and received a similar award from the Financial Times in 2010. He has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg television and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, and other publications. Early in his career, he held positions and advisory roles in software and technology companies. This included being an early employee and participating in the company's IPO process in 1999.
Bodnar is active in the community, serving on the MetroHealth Foundation’s Board. He chairs the investment committee of the Sisters of Humility of Mary and also serves on the finance and strategy committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Cleveland Ballet's advisory board. Previously, he was president of the local mountain biking association (CAMBA); coached youth lacrosse for many years; and served on the board of The Circle, a Cleveland Orchestra initiative.
Bodnar earned a Bachelor of Science in management with a finance concentration and a minor in international economics from Case Western Reserve University.
